    Please join fellow Columbians at the Frist Center for a docent-guided tour of Bellissima! The Italian Automotive Renaissance 1945-1975. Don't miss your chance to see these extraordinary cars before the exhibit closes in October!

    Tickets: $12 per adult, $9 for seniors, free for children under 18, free for Frist members

    Nashville Sounds Game

    Please join fellow Columbia alums and alums from the Harvard Club of Middle Tennessee for dinner and a Nashville Sounds game at First Tennessee Park. Family and friends are welcome!

    Location: Left field group area

    Cost: $15 to the first 50 registrants. Children 2 & under are free. Thanks to the Columbia Alumni Association for subsidizing these tickets!

    We will gather in the Left Field Group Area of the Park to enjoy the pre-game picnic and watch the game. Tickets include a buffet picnic of ballpark fare, including hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, and soda.

    Please join the Columbia Alumni Association of Nashville at this year's Columbia Connects celebration. Throughout the month of September, alumni around the world get together to celebrate alumni connections, reminisce and welcome new graduates to the CAA.

    Join fellow Columbia Alumni for a docent-led tour of the Frist's latest exhibit, Italian Style: Fashion Since 1945, which chronicles the birth and growth of the Italian fashion industry from the post-World War II recovery years to the present day.

    When: Thursday, August 13, 6pm
    Where: Frist Center for the Arts, 919 Broadway, Nashville
    Cost: $12 (for non Frist Center members, free for Frist members). Children under 18 always free.

    MP&F Speaker Series

    Join us at next week's MP&F Speaker Series with Andrew Maraniss and CU Alum Perry Wallace. Wallace is the subject of Maraniss' new book, Strong Inside. 

    Strong Inside is the untold story of Perry Wallace, who in 1966 enrolled at Vanderbilt University and became the first African-American basketball player in the Southeastern Conference.

    Wallace graduated from Columbia Law School in 1975, where he was the recipient of the Charles Evans Hughes Fellowship and is currently a professor of law at American University's Washington College of Law. This intimate event is a great opportunity to learn about his great story and ask questions.

    Music City Center

    Hard Hat Tour

    Join the Columbia University Club of Nashville for another exclusive, behind-the-scenes tour of the new Music City Center before it opens to the public later this spring.

    Get the inside scoop about the design features of the MCC, and take a 45-minute walking tour of the MCC, led by Oliver Robbins, project manager for Bell/Clark Construction. Following the tour, join us for brunch (location TBD).

    The tour is limited to twenty-five participants, and only a handful of spots remain!

    Arrive at 9:50 a.m. for a safety overview and to receive your hard hat. Sturdy shoes only, please no “open toed” shoes or heels.
